Forms: I need to update my form. Can I still make changes?

It depends on whether you submitted the form electronically to us or mailed it to the tax agency.

I'm filing my form electronically

If the status is Submitted, you can delete the form and submit a new one.

  1. Delete the form:
    1. Go here.
      (Or click the Taxes & Forms tab.)
    2. Click View Archived Forms for the category of your form.
    3. Click the appropriate form.
    4. Click Delete.
  2. Make and save your changes to wages, taxes, or personal information:

      (Or click the To Do tab.)
    2. Click the link to file your form.
    3. Create and submit the new form.

I'm printing and mailing my form

If you have not mailed your form, you can make any changes, then create and print a new form. You can archive the new form along with the old.

  1. Make and save your changes to wages, taxes, or personal information:
  2. Create and print a new form:
    1. Go here.
      (Or click the Taxes & Forms tab.)
    2. Click Quarterly Forms or Annual Forms.
    3. Click the appropriate form.
    4. Choose the tax period for the form.
    5. Click View. If any questions appear, answer them.
    6. Review the information on the tax form.
    7. Right-click in the tax form window and choose Print (or for Mac, press Command-P).
    8. Close the tax form window.
  3. Return to the page for the tax form, and click Archive to save a copy of the form.
  4. Sign and send the printed tax form. You can find the address to send the tax form on the instructions page, which is usually the last page when you print the tax form.
