Taxes: Resolving discrepancies between liabilities and payments

It’s important to reconcile discrepancies between tax liabilities and payments. These discrepancies usually occur during the historical period, though they may also occur when live payrolls are run. There are three main ways to resolve them:

• Add, delete, or correct historical tax payments. See Taxes: Recording a payment you made outside Intuit Online Payroll.
