Set up direct deposit

Direct deposit makes it easy and convenient to pay your employees!

To set up direct deposit:

  1. Enter the bank account information for your business. Here's how

    It can take 3 to 4 business days to verify your company's bank account info after you enter it, and another 2 to 3 business days to verify the test deposit.

How long does it take to set up direct deposit?

After you enter your company's direct deposit info, it takes about seven business days to verify the account info and test deposit.

Until direct deposit setup is complete, pay your employees by paper cheque.

Deadlines for submitting and deleting direct deposit pay cheques

When do I need to run and submit payroll that includes direct deposit?

Submit your payroll by 5 pm PT at least two banking days before the pay date. Pay cheques submitted after the cutoff time will be processed on the next banking day and paid two banking days after that.

For example, if your pay date is on Friday, submit payroll by 5 pm PT on Wednesday. If you pay your employee on Monday, submit payroll by 5 pm PT on the previous Thursday.

Can I get my money back after I submit a pay cheque for direct deposit?

If we haven't yet processed the pay cheque, you can delete the pay cheque and keep the money in your account (even if you've already submitted the pay cheque).

For example, if you scheduled an employee's pay cheque for direct deposit on Friday, you can delete it until 5 pm PT Wednesday. If you wait until 5:15 pm Wednesday, it's too late — the money has been transferred.

We cannot remove money from an employee's bank account. Work directly with your employee to retrieve the money, and then contact us so we can delete the pay cheque for you.
