Following are instructions to send your payroll data from Intuit Full Service Payroll to QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Mac Desktop 2016 by means of an IIF (Intuit Interchange Format) file.
If you're a Mac user, select QuickBooks Mac Desktop 2016.
Windows users: DO NOT click Open or the file will become corrupted and will not import correctly.
To avoid duplication, we recommend that you always use the same file name and overwrite the previous export file.
Open your QuickBooks Mac Desktop 2016 company and click File > Import from IIF.
You'll be prompted to back up your QuickBooks Mac Desktop 2016 company file before continuing. However, if you prefer to skip this step, click Cancel Backup.
If you skipped the backup, QuickBooks Mac Desktop 2016 will provide a list where you can locate the IIF file. Open the file and you'll then receive a message that the import was successful.
