Set up direct deposit

Direct deposit makes it easy and convenient to pay your employees!

To set up direct deposit:

How long does it take to set up direct deposit?

On average, It takes about seven business days to set up direct deposit, including verifying your company's bank account for security purposes.

Until you've finished setting up direct deposit, pay your employees by writing or printing paper checks.

Deadlines for submitting and deleting direct deposit paychecks

When do I need to run and submit payroll that includes direct deposit?

Submit your payroll by 5 pm PT at least two banking days before the pay date. Paychecks submitted after the cutoff time will be processed on the next banking day and paid two banking days after that.

For example, if your pay date is on Friday, submit payroll by 5 pm PT on Wednesday. If you pay your employee on Monday, submit payroll by 5 pm PT on the previous Thursday.

Can I get my money back after I submit a paycheck for direct deposit?

If we haven't yet processed the paycheck, you can delete the paycheck and keep the money in your account (even if you've already submitted the paycheck).

We process paychecks two banking days before the pay date, at 5 pm PT.

For example, if you scheduled an employee's paycheck for direct deposit on Friday, you can delete it until 5 pm PT Wednesday. If you wait until 5:15 pm Wednesday, it's too late — the money has been transferred.

We cannot remove money from an employee's bank account. Work directly with your employee to retrieve the money, and then contact us so we can delete the paycheck for you.
