Print checks and pay stubs

You can hand write checks or you can print checks and pay stubs for your employees and contractors from the QuickBooks Online Payroll Full Service site.

Print checks

You'll need QuickBooks-compatible check stock to print your paychecks. Check stubs can be printed on regular printer paper. Before you print your checks on check stock for the first time, print the alignment sheet on regular printer paper and contact us (live chat) so an Full Service Payroll agent can help you set up the alignment.

  1. Create paychecks on a regularly scheduled payroll.
  2. Click Paycheck list under the Run payroll button on the Employees page.
  3. Select the checks to print and enter the check number.

    The Print button appears only when one or more checks are selected in the paycheck list.

  4. Click Print. The checks appear in a PDF viewer.
  5. Make sure your printer is filled with check stock.
  6. Click the printer icon in the PDF viewer and follow the instructions.
