T4 Summary overview

The T4 Summary reports the totals of the amounts on all of your T4 slips. File the T4 Summary and the employer copy of your T4 slips with the CRA before the end of February each year.

If you have employees who work in Québec, prepare both a Relevé 1 Summary and a T4 Summary.

Before the end of February:

• Submit your T4 slips and summary to the CRA, and archive copies for your records.
• Give a T4 slip to each of your employees.
