TD1 form overview

The TD1: Personal Tax Credits Returns forms are used to determine the federal and provincial amounts you should withhold from an employee's pay cheque.

Make sure new employees fill in a federal TD1 form and a TD1 form for the province they work in before you create their first pay cheques. Employees who work in Québec fill in a federal TD1 form and a Québec TP-1015.3 form.

Print blank TD1 forms for your employees

To enter a new employee's withholding information:

  1. Click Employees and then click Add employee.
  2. Enter the employee's first and last names.
  3. Click Enter TD1 form.
  4. Enter the claim amounts from your employee's Federal TD1 form and provincial TD1 or Québec TP-1015.3 form.

Keep your employee's completed TD1 forms for your records.
