Schedule payments in advance with direct deposit

Going on vacation? No problem. You can schedule pay runs for the next few pay periods in advance by using direct deposit.

There's no extra charge for direct deposit. Just remember to schedule pay to run two business days ahead of the pay date and allow an extra day for federal banking holidays.

Suppose you pay your employees every week, but you're going on vacation for the next three weeks. If your employees are set up for direct deposit, you can run payroll automatically for the weeks you're gone. Here's how:

  1. Click Employees in the left navigation bar.
  2. Click Run payroll.
  3. Select the employees to include in the payroll run.
  4. Select the pay period.
  5. Specify the pay date — the date on which you want the bank to deposit the money into the employees' accounts.
  6. The funds are withdrawn from your company's account the day before the pay date. For example, if your pay date is Sept 25, submit your payroll anytime before Sept 21 (a Friday) at 8 pm, and we will withdraw the funds on Sept 24 and deposit the funds in the employee's account on Sept 25.

  7. Click Preview payroll.
  8. Click Submit payroll.
  9. Click Finish payroll.
  10. Repeat steps 1 - 8 for each pay period you want to schedule in advance.

To view a list of your scheduled paychecks

  1. Click Reports in the left navigation bar.
  2. Enter paycheck list in the search box
  3. Select a date range.
  4. Click Run report.

The report lists all employee paychecks you created and the dates they will be paid.
