Confirm your test deposit

To verify your bank account info, we transmit a test deposit (that is, a debit and an offsetting credit) to your bank account for an amount under $1.00. Use this amount to verify your bank account info (so that we use the correct bank account for services like direct deposit).

You'll receive an email from us after we've transmitted the test deposit. The deposit may take a few business days to appear on your bank statement.

  1. Find the exact amount of the test deposit by checking your account statement on your bank's website, or by contacting your bank.
  2. Click the Check enrollment status for direct deposit, e-pay, and e-file link in the Activities list.
  3. Click Confirm the amount of our test transaction.
  4.  On the Confirm Your Test Deposit page:
    1. Enter the exact amount of the test deposit for Deposit Amount.
    2. Enter the amount of the test deposit again for Confirm Deposit Amount.
  5. Click OK.

If you don't see the test deposit after several days or if you made a mistake in entering the amount of the test deposit, contact us.
