Add to a regular paycheck or issue separate bonus checks
- If you add a bonus to a regular paycheck, you need create a bonus pay type and assign it to the employee.

When you create the paycheck, you enter the bonus amount and it's included and taxed with the rest of the regular paycheck amount.
- If you pay a bonus separate from a regular paycheck, you can determine how it's calculated, how it's taxed, and whether or not to include retirement or HSA deductions.
