What do I need to do when I hire a new employee?

When you hire a new employee, you need to:

• Gather information about the employee
• Add the employee to QuickBooks Online Payroll
• Report newly hired employees to your state

Before you can create a paycheck for an employee, you must add that employee to QuickBooks Online Payroll.
