Taxes: Can I still pay on time electronically?
Each tax payment item on your To Do list will display the cutoff time for timely electronic payment. Payments approved after the cutoff time will be late and may be subject to penalty and interest.
- You can make an electronic federal tax payment up to several months after the cutoff time.
- Certain state tax payments can't be made electronically through our system after the cutoff time has passed. In those cases, you’ll need to either make a manual payment or make an electronic payment through the tax agency’s website.
For more state tax information, check with your state agency.- Go to Payroll resources: Tools, supplies, websites.
- Click State government resources.
- Click your state.
- Look for the agency website or contact information, and click the corresponding link.
