To record a tax payment for a prior tax period (for a tax that no longer appears in the list of due taxes:
Make sure you choose a Tax Type before choosing a Liability Period.
If you've already paid a tax, but the tax payment still appears due, you might have paid the tax outside of our payroll service (for example, by mailing a check to the tax agency). You can record the tax payment in our payroll service to remove the tax payment reminder.
To record a tax payment:
If the tax you want to pay no longer appears on the Pay Taxes page, see recording a tax payment for a prior tax period. If the tax you want to pay no longer appears on the Pay Taxes page, see Record a tax payment for a tax from a prior tax period, above.
(Or choose Reports and then under Employer Reports, click Tax Payments.)
