Limit the types of events shown

By default, the Audit Log displays all events that occur. To focus on certain types of events, you can temporarily limit what the log displays.

  1. Click the Gear icon > Audit Log.
  2. Click Filter.
  3. Click the User drop-down arrow and select a user or All Users. You can limit the log to events performed by:
  4. (Optional) Enter new dates, if necessary.
  5. Under Events, select the events you want to appear on the log. If you select events under Show only these events, these types of events may not be obvious:

    Event Type

    Data Shown

    Transactions

    Transactions, such as checks, invoices and changes resulting from QuickBooks Payments events.

    Lists

    Everything tracked on the lists, such as customers, vendors, employees, accounts, and users.

    Statements

    Statements, emailed transactions, and fax events.

    Data Exchange

    Data shared with another application with which you have created a connection.

  6. Click OK.
